  • Ooo Ooo Eee Eee Eee!

    Okay so that was an attempt at a monkey. Today I cashed in a birthday Build-a-Bear coupon and finally got my monkey that I've been wanting for the past few years!! I was so excited and went to the mall with my two roomies, where one got her first Build-a-Bear EVER. How she's lasted this long without a Build-a-Bear I'll never know. Anyway, I named my monkey Jacqueline (Jack for short) Sparrow, and it was lots of fun.

  • What marks the beginning of spring to you?

    Well I could say that the sight of robins marks the beginning of spring for me...but we seem to have those year-round here in Southeastern Virginia. Then I could say the sight of flowers sprouting marks the beginning of spring to me...but one warm spell for just a couple days, even in January could make those come up. I think what marks the beginning of spring for me is when we have extended (not interrupted by a couple days of cold) warm weather (50s, 60s), accompanied by singing birds along with the others things I mentioned. All that together would mark the beginning of spring for me.

    Where is your favorite spring break vacation spot?

    I know my college roommate will disagree with me on this one, but my favorite spring break was when I went with her to her home in Wisconsin. Yeah, it's the middle of nowhere and you have to drive about half an hour to get to town and about an hour to get to a city that has a decent mall, but I thought it was nice and peaceful. And they'd recently had a snowstorm, so I saw the most snow I have ever seen in my life. Also, her family lives near a camp and it was fun walking around there and stuff. And we played in the snow and made a snow archway.
